World- and Bars Olympic Bars Champ Svetlana
Khorkina and Olympic Vault Champ Alexej Nemov leaded the participants field this year.

Some impressions from the two competition days
With more than 1000 spectators each day the Competition hall was sold out and the public in a good mood.
For once more Alexei Nemov shows his showpotential these two days. Despite numers of falls the worth of his appearance was given.
On rings during a handstand a photographer cried "look here" and he did and smiled.
On vault, Svetlana Khorkina, didn't show her common vault. First time i saw Svetlana doing a Yourtschenko layout-full as her first vault.
On beam she has added a full pirouette jump to her repertoire. Also impressing was watch her in five different leotards during the two days.
The Austrian Nationalchamp Sybille Meusburger had a superb competition on her first day with no fall or major wobble.
Unfortunately at Event finals day, Vesselina Gentcheva injured her shoulder during her barset and was unable to compete beam and floor.
The Rhythmic Competition was dominated completly by Irina Chachina. She won the All-Around and all Events and with the score 9.875 with clubs she reached the Topscore of the whole Tournament.
