Morgan was the US Junior National Champ in 1998. Her first international experience was in 1997 winning bars in a meet in Belgium.

In 1999 her first year as senior she placed 7^th at Nationals and became a Tammember for the Worldchampionchips in China. She competed the technical apparatus bars and beam.
