In 1997 her career internationally began impressive with a win at Romanian International on bars, also in this year a third place on bars at European Olympic Youth Days in Lissabon.

The three time British All Around Champ Lisa got international attention with winning the Cottbus meet on floor in spring 1998. At Europeans in the same year she reached a 4th place on floor at apparatus Finals and in summer she added a victory on vault at Commonwealth Games. Later in this year she has competed at different Grand Prix meets.

In 1999 at World Championchips she ranked 26th in the AllAround and qualified with her Team for the Olympics.

In 2000 at Europeans in Paris she made beam apparatus final and ranked 7th.
